"The Return of the Condor Heroes" is a Hong Kong television series released in 1983 and based on a novel by Chinese author Jing Yong. The series is a sequel to "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" and follows the adventures of the martial arts hero Yang Guo and his love interest Xiao Longnu as they encounter battles, conspiracies, and danger in ancient China.
The series, consisting of 50 episodes, was directed by Lau Kar-leung and produced by TVB in collaboration with CTV. It starred Andy Lau as Yang Guo and Idy Chan as Xiao Longnu. The series received critical acclaim for its action sequences, costume design, and performances by the cast.
"The Return of the Condor Heroes" has been remade several times, including a 2006 version starring Huang Xiaoming and Liu Yifei. However, the 1983 version is considered a classic and one of the most iconic Hong Kong dramas of all time.
